Where Does the Democratic Party Stand on Gay Marriage and Abortion?

What is the Democratic Party?

It is one of the major USA political parties. People who vote Democratic are also called “Liberals”. On the political spectrum, Democrats are considered to be on the left side while Republicans tend to be on the right side.

Here we will discuss some of the Democratic parties stand on controversial political issues.

1) Abortion-Democrats tend to be pro choice. Pro choice is the stand that it is the woman’s choice to keep the pregnancy or terminate the pregnancy. Planned Parenthood, NARAL Pro-Choice America, National Organization for Women, and the American Civil Liberties Union are the leading pro-choice groups. Most major feminist organizations also support pro-choice positions. In the United States, the Democratic party endorses the pro-choice position.
