It was amazing after the election of President Obama that everyone said the Republican Party was dead and could never rebuild? It’s amazing what two years of poor leadership can do for the other party, and it is equally amazing that now people are talking as if the Democratic Party is now dead on arrival, and may have no chance of survival – and that may be a Republican will take over the presidency in the next election, and hold that for eight years, plus have their vice president elected for another eight.
It is quite possible that the Republicans may be in charge for the next 16 years after Obama is removed from office either by impeachment, or by him losing the next election. One thing I found quite amazing was that President Obama right after the midterm elections abandoned his party and flew off with his entourage on Air Force One to stay in such places as the Taj Mahal in India.
What I found rather fascinating was that the Obama Administration actually claimed that they closed trade deals, but actually these were trade deals that were already in the works, and had been planned, negotiated, and practically agreed upon far before President Obama ever went to visit. At some point it would seem that the Obama Administration would realize that people are not so easily tricked anymore by their PR campaign, or by President Obama’s great speeches. Whoever writes those speeches does an outstanding job, and Obama is pretty good at acting and reading them from the Teleprompter.
Unfortunately, President Obama didn’t have a whole lot of executive leadership, unless you consider his protest organizing the community efforts in Chicago. Yes, I guess organizing protests does require a little bit of leadership, but is that really the type of leadership we need – and do we really need any more Chicago style politics in Washington DC, things bad enough to begin with. It doesn’t surprise me one bit that the Democratic Party may be dead on arrival, or that President Obama wanted to distance himself from that failure, and all the other failures that caused it.
Nevertheless, we have to determine what’s good for America at this point, and since he is a failed leader (in my intellectual opinion), perhaps we can ask him politely to do the right thing and to quit office and do what’s best for America. After all, during election he claimed he wanted to do what was best for our country and he rode in on a branded statement of hope and change. Well, hope didn’t work, and the changes that were brought about were disastrous. The other day, I was thinking how sorry we should feel for the Democratic Party, and that lasted about 10 seconds. Please consider all this.
